Chaplet of the Five Wounds Prayer Card

This approved chaplet emerged from the visionary Sister Mary Martha Chambon. In her vision, Christ identified a devotion to His Five Wounds sustained during the crucifixion as a powerful remedy for the saving of souls. Our Lord told Sister Mary Martha that He wanted more devotion to His Five Wounds and gave her the two prayers that are used to contemplate each one.

The structure of the prayers is 4-1-10, 1-10, 1-10, 1-10, 1-10, which can be prayed on a standard Rosary or on a Pocket Paternoster, using the top 4-bead portion and then the Crucifix followed by ten beads.

The rear of the card features a beautiful traditional crucifixion which may help us contemplate the five wounds of Our Lord.

Note: There are many other beautiful approved devotions to the Holy Wounds, and at least one which was condemned by the Church in 1937.
